The vaping industry is constantly evolving, but every so often a new range arrives that genuinely stands out from the crowd. Enter Kuro, the latest e-liquid collection developed by the master mixologists at Riot Labs.
Designed with Japanese-inspired aesthetics and proudly manufactured in the UK, Kuro combines premium quality with unique flavour innovation. From the moment you pick up a bottle, it's clear that Riot Labs has created something different.
The first thing that caught my attention was the branding. Kuro's sleek black-on-black design immediately gives the range a premium feel. The neon-coloured flavour names provide excellent contrast, making each variant easy to identify while maintaining a clean and sophisticated appearance.
Subtle Japanese-inspired text and design elements add character without overwhelming the packaging. It's a minimalist approach that feels modern, stylish, and professional—proof that great branding doesn't need to be complicated.
Now for the most important part, the flavours.
I was fortunate enough to sample the entire Kuro range a few weeks before launch when the Riot Labs team visited our store to introduce the collection. After trying all eight flavours, I can confidently say that Kuro is a breath of fresh air in today's vape market.
Rather than relying on the usual flavour profiles like Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, or Mint, Riot Labs has taken a completely different approach. The Kuro range focuses on unique and creative flavour combinations that genuinely offer something new for experienced vapers looking to break away from the ordinary.
In a market saturated with copycat blends, that's a welcome change.
The Kuro range is available in:
This gives vapers plenty of flexibility regardless of their preferred nicotine strength.
Honestly, no.
While there are a few flavours that I personally wouldn't choose for everyday vaping, that doesn't mean they're bad. They simply don't match my usual flavour preferences.
In fact, some of the flavours surprised me the most. There were several occasions where I read the flavour description and immediately thought, "I probably won't enjoy this." Then I tried it and ended up really liking it.
That's why my biggest piece of advice is simple: don't judge these flavours solely by their descriptions. Give them a chance. You might be surprised.
If I had to choose a standout flavour from the entire range, it would be Kakigori Blood.
The flavour combines:
This was actually one of the flavours I expected not to enjoy. Based on the description alone, I assumed it would be overwhelmingly sweet. Instead, I found it incredibly balanced and exceptionally moreish.
The blood orange provides a vibrant citrus profile, while the shaved ice effect keeps the vape refreshing throughout the day. It's a flavour that keeps you coming back for another puff and easily became my personal favourite from the range.
As a vape store manager, I understand that the Kuro range won't appeal to everyone and that's exactly the point.
The branding itself proudly states "Not For Everyone," and I think that perfectly captures what Riot Labs is trying to achieve. This isn't a range designed to follow trends. It's designed for vapers who enjoy exploring new flavour experiences and stepping outside their comfort zone.
For those willing to experiment, Kuro offers something genuinely different from what's currently dominating the market.
I have a strong feeling this range is going to become a top seller in-store, and I'm genuinely excited to hear what customers think once they start trying it for themselves.
If you're looking for unique vape flavours, premium branding, and something different from the usual fruit-and-ice combinations, Kuro deserves a place on your must-try list.
